We are now looking for a committee secretary to cover for a colleague on parental leave, someone who wants to work with democratic decision-making, close to politics and administrative leadership. Your tasks

In the role of committee secretary, you will conduct committee work as a qualified support to operational managers, case officers, and politicians. You will compile and quality-assess decision-making documents, plan political meetings, and write minutes. You will contribute to ensuring that the committee's work is legally secure and efficient in accordance with current legislation and the region's governing documents. You will have close collaboration with politicians and provide advice to case officers and managers to ensure that the case process runs smoothly. The role also includes administrative tasks related to committee work.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic education and experience in public administration. Relevant academic backgrounds include political science, sociology, law, and public administration.

You have knowledge of the regulations governing the handling of cases in public administration, such as the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and other regulations. You understand political governance and can perform your role in collaboration with politicians; you also have an understanding of the complex conditions in public administration. We would prefer if you have experience working as a committee secretary, investigator, or qualified case officer in a municipality, region, or government agency. It is an advantage if you are familiar with digital case management systems such as Public 360, W3D3, or Platina.

To succeed in this role, it is important that you are structured and have good planning skills. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, are analytical, and take initiative. You collaborate well with others, which is important as you will be part of a team. You are used to working independently and prioritizing your tasks. To thrive in the role, it is important to show flexibility and understanding of changing conditions. We offer a workplace with varied tasks where you will have the opportunity to grow in your role.
